Hoping you all enjoyed the Hellfest special on the 1st February. What a cracking line up for this festival in the pretty medieval town of Clisson in France. The Festival takes place on the 21,22 and 23rd June.
I kicked off the show with welsh rockers Bullet for my Valentine quickly followed by Kiss, Clutch and Korn who are all on the bill.
New band of the week was VOID OF SLEEP – an Italian sludge rock band who debut with an amazing album “Tales between reality and madness” more information on their facebook page http://www.facebook.com/Voidofsleep
Heading out on tour with Bullet for my Valentine will be Halestorm and I couldn’t resist playing the catchy yet heavy track “Freak Like Me” from their latest album – check out their YouTube of it “>
Arkan appeared on the playlist – here’s a band I have followed for a few years now – they are french with arabic influences – they’ll be playing at Hellfest and if you haven’t heard of them then check them out http://www.arkan.fr
Huge reaction from you all when I played AT THE GATES the Swedish band that split, reformed, split and currently are back together and on the list to appear at Hellfest.
Bradford band THE PROPHECY got the full 11 minute treatment as I played Redemption from their latest opus Salvation – currently getting amazing reviews and deservedly so – check them out http://www.the-prophecy.net
