Bugsy Malone at St. Joseph’s College – 20th and 21st June

St. Joseph’s College pupils have been working hard in preparation for this years’ school show, Bugsy Malone. This fast moving and funny play is set in 1929 New York City and captures a flashy world of would-be hoodlums, showgirls, and dreamers. The musical is loosely based on the events of New York City in the Prohibition period.
A school show favourite, St Joe’s are hoping to bring their own shine to the performance on Thursday 20th and Friday 21st at the school.
Lead character Bugsy is being played by Calum Michael, with Poppy Fitzpatrick playing lead female Blousey.
Pupils have been rehearsing together since November, an enjoyable experience for many. Emily Davies (Ritzy), said, “Our rehearsals of Bugsy Malone have been going great with all the help of students and teachers!”
Natalie Doidge (Snake Eyes) said, “It’s been a really good opportunity, I’ve met so many new people and had such as good time. I hope we do something like this next year!”
It is sure to be a couple of entertaining evenings, with plenty of razzmatazz and laughs, in amongst splurge action from the gangs guns!
