A701 closed due to serious crash

Police report that that the A701 just south of Parkgate village in Dumfries and Galloway is currently blocked because of a road traffic crash. Emergency services are at the scene and the roadway is likely to remain closed for some time.
Diversions are in place and the Drivers are asked to avoid the area and find an alternative route where possible.
