Upon The Moor pull out of Small Town Sounds CD Launch Party

It’s with great disappointment that Upon the Moor have had to pull out of the Small Town Sounds Launch on the 25th October at The Venue in Dumfries.
We received a message earlier tonight to let us know, and their reasons are completely understandable:

Good Evening Melissa & Ross,

Firstly I just want to say that you guys are doing such an amazing job promoting local bands in D&G, and having played in the Dumfries scene myself for 13 years (!), the effort and enthusiasm you guys are putting in is above and beyond anything I’ve seen in Dumfries and Annan. Thanks for standing by everyone and being so positive.

I’m sending you this message with some bad news. Upon The Moor will be unable to play the gig on the 25th.
We have an unavoidable line up change, and cannot get rehearsed before the gig. Also, I have been put on call at work, to fly to Geneva should the occasion arise. Therefore if they need me in Geneva, I would need to go immediately.
We are very sorry that we’re having to pull out, especially after posters and advertising has just been completed. Unfortunately it is unavoidable.

All of us in UTM love AliveFM and the effort & professionalism that’s gone into arranging the gig and CD is fantastic. We wish you all the best for the gig. I’m sure it will be one of the best gigs Dumfries has hosted for a long time. We’re gutted not to be a part of it.
