Mr Brown MP said: “Each year I send out over 700 Christmas and I like to invite primary school pupils to take part in a competition to design my card.   Each year the calibre of the entrants is very high and this year was no exception.   I congratulate all those children who took part in the competition and who worked so hard on their cards.

“My thanks must go to all the teachers who helped run this year’s competition. I would also like to thank Stena Line, P&O Stranraer FC, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Queen of the South FC, Tesco, DG One, Halfords, Knox Sports, Ryan Leisure Centre, Odeon Cinemas and McDonalds who all very kindly donated prizes for the competition.

“I look forward to using Aimee’s card as my Christmas card this year.  It has now been professionally printed into over 700 Christmas cards.  I am sure that everyone I send it to will agree that I made right choice.”
