Queens got  their  second goal not long after with ex Livi striker  Ian Russel taking ball into box for Queens, got  tackled but  ball landed kindly for  him  and  he got a foot  to  the ball  and it  went in. After the  second goal Livingston had  most  of  the possession without  causing Queens any real problems and Queens seemed happy with a 2 goal lead.

The game finished 2-0, however Dumbarton surprisingly beat Hamilton 4-1 to get a goal closer to Queens. With one game  left Queens are 3 points ahead of Dumbarton but  also 12 goals ahead. Barring a total disaster in the  last game Queen of the South will  qualify for  the end  of  season play-offs.
