Big Burns Supper 2015 – Nina Nesbitt

Written by on January 25, 2015

When Nina Nesbitt released her debut album, Peroxide, in February 2014, she was just 19 years old.

That the half Scottish, half Swedish singer/songwriter has already spent two years putting out EP’s, touring the country and steadily building her fan base – her video veiws stand at more than 20 million and over 130,000 follow her on Twitter makes her early start all the more remarkable.

Nina’s age is important. It is as central to her songs as the lessons she’s learnt since she first picked up a guitar aged 15.

Nina may be an experienced song writer, a festival veteran and a regular on Radio 1, but she still writes brilliantly, from the point of view of a typical teenager.

Nina performed in the Speigeltent on Friday Jan. 23rd as part of The Big Burns Supper and she gave heartfelt performances to the crowd who packed in.

Mixing songs from her back catalogue with a  sneaky

preview of some tracks from her next album it was an amazing set rounded off by her taking some time with her fans for the odd selfie or two.
