Dumfries Show advice from Police Scotland

Dumfries Agricultural Show is taking place tomorrow at Park Farm, New Abbey Road, Dumfries between 10am and 4pm, as such there will be an increase in vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Delays should be expected especially from 3.30pm onwards so avoid the area if possible. The town becomes congested very quickly, which is why we will be directing the vast majority of traffic leaving the site towards the Dumfries bypass.
Irresponsible parking on surrounding streets also causes problems for traffic flow, local residents and pedestrians, so please park in accordance with the law.
We will try and get the area back to normal as quickly as possible and ask for some patience and understanding while we are directing traffic.
