LANGHOLM TO LAUNCH E-BOOK SERVICE

LOCAL Langholm Academy staff member Miss M Maclean-Eltham has co- developed a new and exciting EBook service through the Academy Library Service which will run from September 1.
This free service was developed for the local community, so that individuals can have use of the EBooks on offer through the newly formed Langholm Academy EBook library, which has joined up with Sue Thompson from Langholm CLD Service to develop information leaflets about their combined services.
Dumfries and Galloway Council’s Community Learning and Development Service offers a variety of free adult learning opportunities for people aged 16 and over. These are delivered locally on both a one to one, and group settings, and are tailored to individual’s needs and abilities.
Councillor Tom McAughtrie said “I think this is a brilliant new service, by local people, for local people and born within your locality, l hope that local people will support it.”
The Information leaflets printed for both CLD Services and the Langholm Academy EBook Services will be available from 1stSeptember at various outlets throughout Langholm, Canonbie, Eskdalemuir and Newcastleton.
