Keep Safe Scheme launched in Dumfries
Written by author on August 28, 2015
The ‘Keep Safe’ scheme is a partnership between Police Scotland and the community group ‘I Am Me’. It sees the establishment of a network of local shops and businesses who provide an immediate place of safety for disabled, vulnerable or older people in the event they need help, are lost, scared or the victim of crime. The initiative aims to support and encourage disabled, vulnerable and older people to keep safe and enjoy activities and day to day life without fear of abuse, intimidation and harassment.
