A team of workers from Dumfries and Galloway Councils Stewartry branch, worked quickly and tirelessly today to clear tons of gravel that had been washed from a drain onto both lanes of the A75 trunk road near to the village of Ringford, during this mornings downpour which brought flooding misery to many of the regions roads for commuters .
The Police had issued a warning to drivers this morning to say that flooding was causing problems on the A75 near Ringford and Tarff Valley. Although some larger traffic was managing to pass through the flood, eventually a diversion had to be put in place, the road had to be closed and the task force cleared the road of debris and repaired the damage.
