Operation Clean Up Thornhill

Recently Thornhill Community Council issued a rallying call to local residents and groups to support their village clean up initiative , and support they did with well over 40 people turning out to clean up around village. Organiser and Vice Chairman Jim Renicks said ” We were very pleased with the turnout , we are very lucky to live in such a picturesque village and it was great to see this support . Jim added ” We hope to make this a regular event in the village calendar but we also need to remind everyone of there social responsibility to keep our village tidy . The Community Council would also like to thank Declan McGarva for his work on this project as part of his Duke of Edinburgh award .
