Nithsdale rocked by bus tragedy

Rangers Fans involved an major road traffic accident today 2 miles south of Kilmarnock on the A76 are believed to be members of the Nith Valley Loyal Supporters Club hailing from Thornhill , Sanquhar and Kirkconnel .
The fans had been travelling to the team’s home game today against Partick Thistle at Ibrox when the bus had swerved and came to rest on a banking .
A 39 year old man lost his life as a result of the accident and 3 people are quoted as being serious , 18 fans in total were taken to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock with various injuries .
The road was closed for a lengthy period and may need further closure as Police Scotland carry out accident investigations .
