Flood Alert

The following flood alert has been issued for Dumfries and Galloway:

There is a risk of flooding in coastal areas from high tides. Low lying exposed areas are the most at risk. The time of greatest risk will be around the high tide, which occurs at about 1230 on Monday. The impact of the high tides will be increased considerably by the action of strong winds and onshore wave action. The following high tide, in the early hours of Tuesday, is also expected to be very high.
