Fatal Road Traffic Collision on the B724 Annan to Cummertrees Road

Police are appealing for witnesses in relation to a two vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred about 1720hrs on Friday 16th September 2011 on the B724 Annan to Cummertrees road, involving a blue coloured MG ZR motor car and a red coloured Toyota Avensis motor car.
The 19 year old local male driver of the MG ZR motor car was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased cannot be disclosed at this time.
The female driver of the Toyota Avensis motor car was conveyed to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary.
The road still remains closed and is expected to be open around 2300 hours.
