Serious crash on A75 near Kinmount

Police report that a 34 year old local man has sustained serious injuries following a 2 vehicle Road Traffic Crash on the Stranraer to Gretna road about two miles west of Annan in Dumfries and Galloway. The crash occurred at approximately 0915 hours on Saturday 17 March 2102 and involved an articulated lorry and a Landrover Defender motor car. The injured male has been removed to the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow where his condition remains serious.
Enquiries into the crash are ongoing and a full crash investigation is being carried out by the Police. It is anticipated that the roadway will remain closed for a number of hours to enable this investigation to take place.
