Fatal road traffic collision at Carsphairn

Police are appealing for witnesses following a two vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the A713 near to Carsfad Loch/Dam, Carsphairn
The roadway is still closed while a police crash investigation is carried out at the scene. Local diversions are in place.
The collision occurred at around 17.50hrs and involved a Blue Renault Scenic and a Silver Suzuki Grand Vitara.
Emergency services attended however a female was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other persons were also injured and are being treated in hospital.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who saw the vehicles prior to the collision. Anyone with any information on is asked to contact police on 0845 600 5701 or any police officer
