Samus Jay on Saturday Night Warmup – 14.7.12

This Saturday Samus Jay, one of the top DJs, has given Alive’s very own Deno permission to play one of his sets on this Saturday’s Saturday Night Warmup – the set promises to be a great one, and well worth a listen. Samus Jay is a Disc Jockey, born in Melbourne, Australia on the 3rd June 1983. He began Djing at 14 years of age, initially at local parties and school events. His popularity increased quickly, and soon enough he was playing at a range of clubs, radio stations, and soon after released his own CD’s.

Samus has also made guest appearances on Melbourne and Sydney radio stations Hitz FM 89.9, Swift Impulse 88.3, Nova Fm, Club Cow, Kix FM, 2day FM in Sydney, and also a web based radio station The DJ Lounge and he now hosts a monthly segment on Swift Impulse 88.3 Fm Melbourne, called “Samus Jay’s Top Ten.”

He has been interviewed by stations overseas, including Radio Seven in Switzerland, In The Mix Radio in Germany, Dance Radio, SS Radio in the UK, and Radio Nova Chicago. As well as his various radio appearances he has also been interviewed and appreared for several magazines including: In Style Magazine and Beat Magazine.

Samus has performed in New South Wales & Melbourne events such as Winter Wonderland, Heat, Silvers, QBH , Metro, Aqua Lounge, Vanilla , Hi-Fi Bar & Lounge, Next Blue, Chasers, Leichart Nightclub, and Rogue as well as which he has performed overseas.

As well as his music, he has also donated his time to charity, most notably The Royal Childrens Hospital, performing at the Aura Lounge.

In the year 2000, he joined a league of DJs and producers “Deep Exclusive” where his plans for promoting his projects and remixes began to unfold, after 3 year with the Deep Exclusive Team, Samus decided to go solo to start producing his own Megamixers and Remixes which has giving him his reputation which preceeds him locally and internationally.

Shortly after in 2004 he signed with IAM Records in Montreal, his focus was to gain an international audience which he succeeded in when he released, House Pacific Volume 1 and the Ultimate 90s Megamix. The most popular megamix Samus has released to this day is The Ultimate 90’S Megamix which has had over 2.5 million hits on Youtube, and over 10 million downloads world-wide as of 2010 from its release in 2004. To this day it is one of his most popular releases in Europe.
