ParkFest 2012 which takes place in Stranraer on the 17/18th of Aug will be the biggest yet!!
This year the organisers have added a new event – “Young Guns Night“, a showcase for 5 local young bands. The winners of the event on Friday will win a place performing during the actual event itself on Saturday at Agnew Park.
Mandy Green, the Event Organiser, had already said this year ParkFest had attracted interest from bands across the world, with musicians clamouring to come to such a lovely part of southern Scotland.
Alive 107.3fm is supporting the event, Ali Donowho & Lee Medd will be hosting “Young Guns” on Friday and will be roving reporters soaking up the atmosphere on Saturday, Bailey Guitars will also be there with a display of some amazing instruments.
There are loads of great artists taking part including Alive favourite Zoe Bestel, and Eric Faulkner from the Bay City Rollers.
