Dumfries A75 ‘altercation’ witness appeal

Police are investigating reports of an “altercation” after a car crash which blocked the A75 near Dumfries. The collision involved two vehicles – a Volkswagen Passat car and a Ford Transit van and took place near the Shell service station on the east side of Dumfries at 12:30 on Wednesday. As a result of the crash two people were taken to Dumfries and Galloway Infirmary with minor injuries and the road was blocked for a time.
