2012 Tour Of Britain

This year the Tour Of Britain will once again be passing through the streets of Dumfries during it’s third stage as participants cycle from Jedburgh to Dumfries, a distance of 152.6km. Continuing the Olympic Legacy of inspiring a generation the race will be featuring big names in cycling, notably Bradley Wiggans, this year’s Tour De France winner, the first British winner in over fifty years (the previous British winner being Tom Simpson in 1967), as well as which he won gold in the Time Trials at the London 2012 Olympics.
If you would like to be a part of this great event then there’s no need to buy a ticket, only to turn up and support the cyclists, who’ll be arriving in Dumfries on Tuesday 11th September anytime after 2PM.
