Written by on July 22, 2015

Police Scotland officers are investigating a vandalism in the woods next to the bowling club on Annan Road, Lochmaben.  Sometime overnight Monday 20/Tuesday 21 July 2015 a picnic bench and a signpost were set on fire.  The damaged property belongs to the Castle Loch Lochmaben Community Trust and the cost of the damage is estimated to be around £200.

Constable Murray Richardson of Police Scotland at Lockerbie said ” we are keen to hear from anyone who can help us catch those responsible.  This is just the wanton destruction of community property.  We have been informed that there appeared to have been some kind of disturbance in the area around the bowling club between 2100 hours and 2200 hours on Monday night and want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this.  Callers can get me at Lockerbie Police Office on 101.
