Beattock raiders being sought

POLICE Scotland is investigating a break-in which happened at a house in Woodlea Court in Beattock sometime between Monday and Wednesday whilst the occupiers were away.
A large quantity of cash and jewellery was taken in the raid and Constable Nicola Brunton at Lockerbie said: “We are are asking anyone in the Beattock area to give us a call on 101 if they can assist us with this investigation.
“We want to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything in the Beattock area over this period. In particular at around 2100 hours on Monday evening.”
She added: “We again remind the public that Police Scotland is only too happy to receive calls from the public about suspicious or even unusual activity in the community at the time it is happening.
“We will gladly attend and check things out and if all in order then no harm done.”
