Here is my first blog looking ahead to the new football season. I will focus mainly on Queen of the south. Queens will start their competitive season on sat against Dumbarton in the Ramsdens cup. Dumbarton was promoted from the Scottish 2nd division, while Queens was relegated to the 2nd div. Dumbarton will be keen to show they can survive in 1st div while Queens will be keen to show they should be a division higher. While Queens are full time, Dumbarton are still part time. Will be a really good and keenly contested game, and with Rangers now in the Ramsdens cup it is an extra incentive for clubs to progress. More to follow after tomorrow’s game.
