Child Death: Baby Named

Police are currently carrying out enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the unexplained death of a 14 week old baby in Dumfries.
The baby boy was admitted to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary on Saturday afternoon (27 October 2012) and was later transferred to the Yorkhill Children’s Hospital in Glasgow where he died on Monday 29 October 2012.
The child has been named as Zaiidyn Burke, from Sundries Avenue in Dumfries.
The Procurator Fiscal has been informed of the death and a post mortem examination is being arranged to establish the cause of death.
