Council demolishes 80 year old pensioners’ home; Westies Hame, Dumfries – video

The demolition of a substancial 17 room house belonging to an 80 year old pensioner, in Dumfries took place today on the instructions of the local Authority. The pensioner was extremely upset to see her home where she had lived for thirty years being destroyed. The house has been the subject of controversy amond neighbours and townspeople, but a number of passers by were dismayed and some were upset to see this large town house being razed to the ground.

A life long friend of the pensioner said she was extremely upset and stressed  by the whole situation. Just a few weeks ago she had been evicted from her home of thirty years.
