Death of Khalil Dale – British aid worker in Pakistan with local links

Written by on April 29, 2012

The Scottish Government has issued a statement following news that a British aid worker kidnapped in Pakistan in January has been found dead.

Khalil Dale, 60, who worked for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), had links to Dumfries.

Cabinet Secretary for Culture and External Affairs, Fiona Hyslop said, “The murder of Khalil Dale was a senseless and brutal act. My deepest sympathy and those of all Scotland will be with the family and friends of a man who, in full knowledge of the risks involved, was devoted to helping the people of Pakistan.”
