DRIVER JAILED AFTER CAUGHT OVER LIMIT TWICE IN THREE DAYS

A MOTORIST who was caught driving while unfit through drinks or drugs TWICE within three days, has been jailed for six months
George Bell, 37, of Cairnkinna Crescent, Thornhill, was also banned from driving for three years when he appeared at Dumfries Sheriff Court.
The Sheriff Brian Mahon also ordered that his car should be forfeited.
Bell received the jail sentence after admitting committing the offence in Shirley Road, Dumfries, on June 15.
He also admitted committing the same offence on June 13 at Newbridge Drive in the town as well as driving carelessly between Auldgirth and Newbridge and repeatedly swerving from side to side and being in possession of diazepam at the Dumfries Police Station.
For the initial offences he was made the subject of a community payback order, with conditions he be under supervision for 18 months and carry out 200 hours unpaid work.
