Fatal Road Traffic Collision – Beattock

Police can confirm that a fatal road traffic collision has occurred on the A701 at Marchbank Woods near Beattock.
The collision occurred at around 09.55hrs today (Thursday 10 January). A woman sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision. A man has been taken to DGRI to receive treatment on injuries sustained.
No other information is available at this time. Further information will be released when it becomes available.
The road will remain closed for some time. Diversions are being put in place, motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible and expect delays if travelling nearby.
