This year’s Lions club of Dumfries annual raft race took place on Sunday 26th May on the River Nith in Dumfries. Entries were well up this year with 17 rafts being entered for this charity fund raising event.
The sun shone magnificently this year and was supported by a great local crowd.
Thanks to the Lions club for organising this popular event and to the many people that turned out to watch and support the raft race, it was a great sucess. Everyone admired the hard work and courage of the raft teams who made and sailed their rafts down the river, braving some very cold water!
