Local MSP seeking answers on Post Office closure

 

 

Local Dumfriesshire MSP Dr Elaine Murray has challenged Post Office Limited on the closure since the 31st of December of the Post Office on the Whitesands and why its proposed reopening date is the 21st of February .

Many constituents have contacted the MSP airing there frustrations on the length of the closure which is being blamed on flood damage , there are also concerns that this maybe a catalyst for a complete closure of the branch . Dr Murray expressed her frustrations over the closure and indeed the initial decision to move the branch from Great King Street and she urged Post Office Limited to expedite there repairs and quash the rumours surrounding the locations future
