LONG SERVICE AWARD FOR LOCAL NFU SCOTLAND SECRETARY

A LONG serving NFU secretary in the region has been presented with a special award at Wigtown Agricultural Show.
Well-known Wigtown man Ian Macpherson (right) received a Long Service Award from NFU Scotland this week for 35 years as a group secretary for the NFU Scotland Wigtown office.
NFU Scotland’s Vice President Andrew McCornick (left), who made the presentation to Ian at Wigtown Show on Wednesday, said: “Ian has done a tremendous job over the years helping out people in our industry through some difficult times, and in turn has earned a great deal of respect and friends along the way.
“We congratulate Ian on his milestone and look forward to continuing to work with him.”
