Man accused of embezzling

A 24-year-old man has been accused in the Sheriff Court at Dumfries of embezzling around £3000.
Nathan Cooney admitted the offence while working as a cashier at a filling station.
Cooney, of Lochside Road, Dumfries, pleaded guilty by letter to committing the offence during a six month period last year at the Newton Gardens Filling Station.
Sheriff George Jamieson deferred sentence to September 2 and ordered Cooney to appear personally in court.
