Mounted Branch in Dumfries

Officers from the Mounted Branch of Police Scotland will visit Dumfries to carry out high visibility policing patrols across the town on Tuesday 16 April 2013.
Six horses and officers will patrol across Dumfries, Heathhall and Locharbriggs providing high visibility support to local officers.
This will be the first visit to ‘V’ Division, Dumfries and Galloway for the mounted section.
They will receive their tasking for their patrols from locally based supervisors as needs dictate.
