New Bus Timetable for 101/102 to Edinburgh

The local bus service 101/102 to Edinburgh has been retendered with the new service to start on 11 August 2013.
The timetable will provide a similar frequency to the current service from Dumfries and all the main settlements along the route to and from Edinburgh.
The dedicated link to/from Lockerbie and Annan will be removed due to the extremely low usage by passengers to destinations outside the region covered by SWestrans.
Connections at Dumfries from bus services from Annan and Lockerbie are possible.
This change follows public consultations in February/March and is said to provide an efficient, affordable and sustainable solution.
