On The Ball October 15

On tonight’s On The Ball Stephen Temlett and Greg Cameron preview Scotland’s last World Cup Qualifier at Hampden against group runners-up Croatia.
For once it’s the opposition’s manager who is coming under fire after failing to secure a direct place in the World Cup in Brazil next year.
Igor Stimac arrives in Glasgow under pressure to take his side to Brazil through the play-offs while Gordon Strachan will surely be looking ahead to France in 2016.
We have all of the prematch build up to tonight’s match as it appears the hero in Macedonia, Ikechi Anya, is a doubt for the game as Strachan appears to favour Birmingham City’s Chris Burke instead.
Lee Wallace is also out of the match with an injury and could be replaced by Motherwell’s Steven Hammell.
Stephen Temlett and Greg Cameron will also have a look down south and around the home nations as England look to guarantee their spot at the carnival in South America next year with a win over Poland.
Elsewhere in Group A Wales travel to Belgium in what could be Chris Coleman’s last game in charge of the national side and Northern Ireland are away to Israel.
The Republic of Ireland take on Kazakhstan to wrap up the home nations action for this campaign.
As well as that the pressure has been increased on Queen of the South after another disappointing draw against Cowdenbeath on Saturday.
And finally, praise above, the international break is over which means we can focus on the return of domestic football once again as all eyes will be on Gus Poyet as he takes over at Sunderland.
