A TUP ram worth £650 is believed to have been the victim of a case of sheep worrying on a farm near Lockerbie.

Police officers at Lockerbie are investigating the case of sheep worrying which happened on the farm fields of Castlermilktown Farm at Lockerbie sometime between 1645 hours on Thursday 5 and 1530 hours on Friday 6 November 2015.

A black tup ram was found dead within the field and subsequent examination by a vet has indicated that the injuries found on the animal are consistent with those which would have been caused by a dog.  The value of the animal is in the region of £650.
