Queen of the South beat Rangers

Written by on December 12, 2014

On a day full of turmoil  for Rangers they came to Palmerston and Queens made sure they went home with even more to worry about!! Ally McCoist  handed in his resignation that was apparently rejected  by the board. It looked  like the Rangers players may have been affected by the ongoings off the field as they put in a  disappointing performance.

Queen of the South  on the other  hand played as good as they have  all season  and an excellent free kick from Kevin Holt and a very well  taken goal  by Gavin Reilly made sure Queens secured a 2-0 win. A win that keeps them ahead of Hibs and closing gap to Rangers to 4 points. Adding to that Queens should have at least one penalty and Rangers were lucky to finish game with 11 men.

Biggest disappointment for  Queens was they only won by two goals, a major  positive  was to  see Michael Paton back in action for the first time in months.

A  great win for Queens and we look forward to game against Cowdenbeath at Palmerston next Saturday. Hopefully James  Fowler and his team will give us another great win to celebrate Christmas with!!
