Serious accident on B729 near Wallaceton, Dunscore – witnesses sought

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision that occurred on the B729 yesterday (Thursday 15 March) at around 08.30hrs.
The collision happened at Wallaceton near Dunscore and involved a silver coloured Kia being driven by a male in his 30’s and a blue coloured Toyota Avensis being driven by a female in her 50’s.
Both drivers sustained serious injuries in the collision and were taken to DGRI to receive treatment on their injuries. Their condition is currently described as serious but stable.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident or anyone who seen either vehicle prior to the collision. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 0845 600 5701 or any police officer.
