SPATE OF VANDALISM IN DUMFRIES

VANDALS have struck again for the second time in the last few days in Dumfries.
Police Scotland officers sayd they are investigating another spate of vandalism in the town.
This time five vehicles which were parked in College Street in the town were vandalised.
It is thought that the damage was caused sometime around 9.30pm last night (Monday March 14.
The vehicles, a Honda Jazz car, a Renault Dispatch van, a Honda Civic car, a Mercedes car and a VW Golf car all suffered a variety of damage including smashed windows and broken wing mirrors.
A sixth vehicle, a lorry which was parked in the fairground on the Whitesands, had a window smashed.
Constable Ruairidh Matthews at Dumfries said: “This is yet another example of wanton vandalism to vehicles in Dumfries which will cost the owners a lot of money and inconvenience.
“We are appealing to the public to help us catch those responsible and ask that anyone who has any information which might help to get in touch with us at Dumfries on 101.”
