This video from David Slater marks the opening of two pontoons at Kingholm Quay Harbour, Dumfries, Scotland.
This is a very important milestone in the harbour’s life. The port was once one of the busiest ports in the country because of its links with America.
Over recent years the owners allowed the harbour to fall into disrepair, but an organisation called The Port of Dumfries Developement Group are turning it around, with a vision to see sailing craft once again filling the harbour with sailing craft.
