THIEVES TARGET PROPERTIES AT MONIAIVE AND CARGENBRIDGE

POLICE are appealing for information after a raid on a house at Moniaive and attempted theft at a Cargenbridge industrial site
Two tractor batteries. a black Apollo mountain bike, a chrome plated roll bar, and a circular saw have all been stolen from a house which sits just off the A702 near Crawfordton Farm, Moniaive.
The theft occurred sometime between Tuesday September 15 and Sunday 20th.
Constable Craig Murray of Police Scotland said: “This house sits out in a rural location and so we are asking the public if they saw anything at all which they might have thought suspicious on the A702 road in the vicinity. They can contact us at Sanquhar on 101.
MEANWHILE Police Scotland officers are investigating a break-in to the Dupont Teijin factory at Cargenbridge, Dumfries, sometime between Tuesday September 15 and Friday September 20.
A spokesman said It appeared that the perpetrator(s) have entered the building, causing damage in the process in an attempt to carry out what appears to be a theft. Nothing has been stolen.
Constable Douglas Taylor of Police Scotland at Dumfries said: “Those responsible seem to have gone to great lengths to gain entry to the building.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area and saw or heard anything suspicious in or around the Dupont Teijin Dupont factory over this period.”
