TRACTOR STOLEN FROM SANQUHAR FARM

An  £80,000 tractor along with a trailer have been stolen from a farm north of Sanquhar in Dumfriesshire.

The theft was discovered yesterday and Police Scotland said they are investigating the theft of the tractor and trailer from a farm which is about four  miles north of Sanquhar.

The theft of the blue coloured New Holland  tractor, registered number SF64KUX and yellow coloured Thomson trailer happened sometime between Wednesday and yesterday (Monday September 21).

They were parked up at the farm when stolen and Constable Alan Steel at Sanquhar said: “This is a very high value theft with the tractor being in the region of £80,000 and the trailer valued at around £5000.

“We are asking members of the public to contact us if they were on the B740 road north of Sanquhar over the past week to get in touch if they saw the tractor and trailer, or saw anything which may have seemed suspicious.”
