Unique footage inside the Loreburn Hall, Dumfries – video

Written by on February 6, 2013

A film of the recent visit by Dumfries and Galloway Councillors, Community Councillors, and other interested parties, to see the state of the Loreburn Hall, or The Drill Hall, as it’s also known. It was closed when Dumfries and Galloway’s flagship leisure centre, DG One opened in May 2008, being deemed surplus to requirements. The hall has been allowed to deteriorate over recent years and now requires a lot of attention. An increasing number of people want to see this hall repaired and brought back to a working hall, especially with the planned closure of DG One next year for several months for repairs.
