Vandals hit Upper Nithsdale railway line

VANDALS have hit Sanquhar Railway station
Police Scotland want to trace around 10 children, aged between 5 to 11 years who are responsible for smashing a glass panel at the railway station at Sanquhar around 1830 hours on Friday 31 July 2015.
At that time this group were seen throwing stones across the railway line and as a result a glass panel in a shelter was smashed.
Constable Hayley McKerlie of Police Scotland at Sanquhar sad: “We are aware that there may have been people waiting at the station who witnessed this incident, and are also aware that this same group of children were seen in the Queensberry Square area of the town a short time earlier. Anyone who can help should contact us at Sanquhar on 101.
