So far flaming June has been just that in our region with increased traffic reported yesterday heading for the Solway Coast . The mercury topped 82 degrees in parts of the region comparable with the Spain , with beaches at Southerness and Sandyhills and Colvend being reportedly very busy. The weather was ideal for the Beltie Beer Festival at Park Farm on Saturday which added to the atmosphere for the 2000 attendees . Local Shopkeepers are also reporting an increase in visitors to the region and local campsites are also seeing an upturn in bookings over the past 10 days .
