Hope you all enjoyed the show this week – Egypt was our featured country this week and boy they know how to rock. It was a show that took me quite a while to research as Metal Music in many Middle Eastern countries remains highly controversial, with Metal Heads being regarded as Satanists. I also played bands from Jordan, Lebanon, Iran and Iraq this week and as I said on the show – Music can heal many divides, I don’t listen to Metal music for any other reason than I enjoy the raw power and often complex riff systems and double bass drumming that makes this genre one of the most complex, complicated and requiring huge talent and musicianship.
