Elderly Lady injured in Loreburn Street, Dumfries

An elderly lady was injured this afternoon as a consequence of an incident involving a collision with a car in Loreburn Street in the town.
The lady was been taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary with head and leg injuries. Loreburn Street, between Academy Street and Three Crowns Court was closed for a period, with diversion in place, to allow the police to investigate at the scene.
