Fire in Barrie Avenue, Dumfries

Police in Dumfries are appealing for witnesses following a house fire in Barrie Avenue, Dumfries, during the early hours of this morning.
A female was removed and treated for minor smoke inhalation. The residents in the block of flats had to be evacuated from their home for a short time however have now been allowed to return home, as the fire has been extinguished.
Any person who has information regarding the fire is asked to contact Dumfries Police on 0845 600 5701, or can provide information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
