96 year old pensioner robbed in their home at Janefield Avenue, Dumfries

A substantial amount of cash was stolen from a house in Janefield Avenue last Thursday. A 96 year old occupant allowed a smartly dressed man into the house to check the water supply and as a consequence the teft took place.
There is no real description of the thief other than he was smartly dressed. The incident occurred sometime during Thursday 23 September.
